A member asked:

What are signs of premenopause. im 38 yrs old and this month &nov my periods were longer than 35 days. im tryin to concieve, should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"TTC" at 37: After 35 it becomes more statistically difficult to conceive. The ovary needs more stimulation to ovulate, which delays the onset of the next menstrual period. Consult a gyn infertility physician to assist. Ask your current provider about a hysterosalpingogram ( HSG) to ensure your tubes are open. Ovulation induction and more complicated procedures are available .
