Itchy eyelids, face: Adults and older children can take allergy pills such as Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra, or Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Benadryl is sedating. Allergy pills help with allergies in the eyes, nose, skin, etc... Eye allergies sometimes need eye drops such as Zaditor (ketotifen) for extra help with symptoms. Many people find relief with hydrocortisone cream twice a day for a few days, on itchy facial skin.
