A member asked:

Could having cancer cause high blood pressure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly...: Some forms of cancer can directly trigger high blood pressure, such as certain primary adrenal gland tumors. These types of cancer are rare. More common cancers such as lung, breast, colon cancers, etc... May induce anxiety / concern in the patient, and being constantly worried can elevate blood pressures. This would be a good question to ask the doc in specific situations.
