A member asked:

My son is 4 and woke up with a limp. nothing is swollen or broken. when do i worry?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fever: Some of these are due to coming down on a heal & transferring the force into the hip. They are stiff for a while but it resolves in a day or so. If they have fever, localized pain, redness or swelling anywhere it needs to be looked at. The worst & time sensitive thing would be infection in a joint, but that would produce fever/pain/swelling.
