A member asked:

Dandruf started with puberty.dont consider it severe.i shampo twice a week.are natural remedes good?will it go away?is washing with cold water better?

Management varies: Dandruff is simply dead skin that adheres/builds on the scalp & flakes off over time. Regular shampoo does not have the enzymes/ chemicals needed to break the bonds of the skin flakes to the scalp. The additives I dandruff shampoo do & how often its use is needed varies with the individual. Cold would slow the chemical reaction needed to remove the flakes & do worse.
