Lower abd pain: On occasions, ovulation may not result in a given cycle, and the cyst formed by hormonal stimulation may continue to grow, producing pain on one side or the other. If the delay in menses persists, get a serum HCG test from Planned Parenthood or your provider. Sometimes pregnancies can occur in one's tube (ectopic), which needs immediate attention.
