STD?: Painful urination (dysuria) can be caused by infections that don't necessarily make urinalysis abnormal. At age 20, the most common causes are STDs, but in addition to dysuria these usually cause abnormal discharge from the penis or, in the case of herpes, penile blisters or sores. Discuss further with your doctor and consider STD testing. Maybe all is OK, but better safe than sorry!
