I constantly get cold sores?

Can be prevented: Cold sores on the lips or near the lips, are usually caused by oral herpes virus. Sores appear more often when a person is under stress or is sick from another illness. For older children and adults who get sores repeatedly, a doctor may prescribe an antiviral (acyclovir, valacyclovir, etc...) to prevent future outbreaks, or to start treating them the moment a lip area starts to tingle or swell.

Cold sores: Herpes Simplex outbreaks often occur with stress to the body (e.g, menstrual period, fatigue, illness, sun or cold exposure, anxiety). To prevent cold sores from occurring wash hands often. Maintain a healthful lifestyle (regular exercise, nutritious diet, adequate sleep, keeping stress at bay). Keep lips well moisturized & apply sun screen to the areas that your cold sores normally pop up.
