Neurology consult: For many patients, symptoms go away without any type of specific treatment. Bed rest, good hydration and increased caffeine intake to decrease symptoms may help. If conservative treatments don't work, the most common treatment is epidural blood patching. Surgery may be recommended in some cases. Please consult with your mother's neurologist &/or neurosurgeon about her condition.
