Right sided pain: Occasionally the appendix is tucked away behind the cecum making retrocecal appendicitis difficult to diagnose. If you're continuing to have right lower abdominal discomfort,another possibility is Crohn's disease or regional enteritis. I recommend evaluation by both a gastroenterologist and an abdominal surgeon.
