Plantar Fasciitis : You can try rolling your foot on ice and on a tennis ball. You may need to see a specialist. Try to avoid corticosteroid injections.

Podiatrist: If the discomfort is worse upon first stepping on your foot after having been off it for hours and lessens as the day goes on, this may be a type of fasciitis which can last month's. Have you tried different footwear or padding in your footwear? A week's course of anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen may help. A podiatrist should be most helpful for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.
