Yes/No: Herpes zoster (hzv) causes both chickenpox & shingles and is usually associated with postherpetic neuralgia but both forms of herpes simplex - hsv 1 & hsv 2 in extreme cases, especially in immunocompromised patients can cause postherpetic neuralgia but generally not as wide-spread and life-affecting as the zoster virus. And it is much les common.
