Here are some...: Hydrocele is usually painless. So, being painful should alert if active inflammation occurs inside which may cause pain itself or accelerate fluid production leading to high pressure. All these would not affect erection except pain during coitus may induce distraction which may subside erection. Besides, a huge hydrocele may deceptively make penis look shorter; in reality, its length is unchanged.
