Why does it take up to 2 weeks for mobic to take effect?

Initial effect Mobil: Meloxicam is cox-2 specific NSAIDs,with half life of approximately a day. Steady state in 5 days. First five days. Level in Mobic in blood may be variable but effect should start with first dose and becomes of longer duration later on. If one has significant inflammation, it may take time to heal, and relief may come at 2. Weeks.
