Uncertain: Smoking increases everyone's risk of developing both cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. These 2 problems can occur later in life even after one has discontinued smoking. On the positive side, one's risk of heart attack from smoking returns to normal as soon as smoking is discontinued. I know of no method to remove tar. Daily aerobic exercise is recommended.

Congratulations: on becoming smoke free. Many of our health issues resolve themselves naturally if we simply get out of the way. This is what you have done by freeing yourself of smoking. Your body will recover over time. Balanced diet, exercise, and rest can help this process along. Peace and good health.
