I just had a laparoscopic bilateral salpengectomy 2 weeks ago, i felt fine the last week, but now having pretty severe menstrual like pain, due for period in 1 week, is this normal? is period after this surgery more painful?

Salpingectomy: should not have any effect on your menstrual cycle. Discuss your symptoms with your GYN ASAP, hope this is helpful! Dr Z

Recent surgery: In general having your tubes removed does not impact the menstrual cycle. Since you are so soon after surgery if you are having new onset of pain then a postop evaluation is warranted.
