why do pregnancy test expire ?

PG test ingredients: Just like food or milk there is an expiration date stamped on the product because the chemical ingredients in the pregnancy tests fail to work consistently past that date giving incorrect results.

Old preg test: Why take a chance! The cost of a new one is relatively inexpensive, and you will know for sure. You will always have a doubt if you use an expired one.

I have a pregnancy test that expired 3 months ago, would it still be accurate when used?

Get a new test kit: The answer is "maybe" Since you really want to know whether or not you are pregnant, go buy a new test. If the expired one tests negative, you won't be sure you can believe it!

Great question!: There is not a good way to predict the validity of your expired pregnancy test. It will be important to repeat it with a fresh test, but assume and treat your body as if you ARE pregnant until proven otherwise.

Why is my line on my pregnancy test line darker in the afternoon then in the morning. I am reading within the time limit and they are not expired ?

See below: It is better to test with first morning urine and read the results in good light. Why are you doing the test twice a day? If it is positive on a correctly done test, you are pregnant and there is no need to repeat it.
