A member asked:

My son has a bumpy itchy rash on his outer elbows and knees. recurs every few months only in these areas. cortisone/anti fungal and anti bacterial cream not helping. no other symptoms. not a rash i have seen before. help!

Dermatologist: Such an eruption may be seen in eczema, psoriasis or reaction to gluten in his diet. A dermatologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat him. If he's already been seen by a dermatologist, I recommend getting a second opinion. Appropriate tests can be done.
