A member asked:

Usually have pms before period. this month i have no pms symptoms. period expected in 7 days. what could cause this?

PMS ?: PMS is caused by the sudden drop in estrogen at the time of ovulation or just prior to the period. If no PMS occurred, it may be a failure to ovulate, or perhaps pregnancy. With pregnancy, there is no drop in estrogen. Get a serum HCG level if your period does not occur (get the test about a week after your period is due).
