Tongue has been dry (on and off) for five months. lips sometimes gets dry too. red throat. slightly swollen tonsils. but no sores or pain.

Dryness: These symptoms occurring on and off for several months and the absence of throat soreness speaks against an infection. Mouth breathing,being in an excessively dry environment,inadequate fluid intake, lack of adequate saliva and certain medications are possible causes of your symptoms. If correction of or nonexistence of these factors don't result in improvement, see an Otolaryngologist for advice
