Probably: If you already have problems with blood pressure then yes! we recommend a 2 gram sodium diet for patients with BP problems. The average american consumes around 18 grams a day! way too much. Keep salt low regardless having elevated blood pressure. Unless you're a long distance runner who needs plenty of electrolytes or you have some strange condition that requires your body to keep a high salt.
