Found painful to touch (not otherwise) lymph node in my groin. what could cause this? getting a bit worried..

Dont worry: There is an infection in the skin in the area drained by that lymph node. It is the immune system doing its duty. Good. What could it be? Did you notice any painful blisters on your genitals? If not Herpes is unlikely. Other STDs are also unlikely. It is not uncommon for a little skin infection, folliculitis, non STD to cause this sort of painful lymhadenopathy. If it doesnt get better see GP
