A member asked:

Is type 2 diabetes a inflammatory disorder ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: It is caused by receptors in peripheral tissues not responding to insulin. When you say "inflammatory" that could mean infection which it isn't or rheumatological like rheumatoid arthritis which is non infectious but inflammatory. type 2 diabetes is neither.
