Have it seen: Any infant under 8 weeks of age with fever >100.4 F should be evaluated urgently. They may have been incubating germs acquired at delivery that finally emerge as blood poisoning or other condition requiring hospitalization. If it is just a minor illness, great, but don't assume so until the kid is seen. T < 100.4 is not considered fever and not worthy of any treatment.
