Bruises: The lumps are most likely small blood clots under the skin due to leakage of blood from a capillary or vein. Trauma to the skin is the usual cause of such leaks, but if there was no inadvertent trauma while sleeping, then a disorder of blood coagulation from medications like aspirin or Aleve or a blood disorder would be suspected. If these bruises or blood nose, bleeding gums appear, see your MD.
