Needs further study: Having an otherwise premature delivery should not stop you from getting pregnant. There can be any number of things wrong. Your heavy periods do not point me in any direction to diagnose your problem. You need a full infertility exam as we'll as a thorough GYN exam to delineate what is going on.

Time to get seen: first by your gynecologist who may refer yourself and your partner to a fertility specialist, good luck
