Sounds normal: If lymph node enlargement in the groin is improved and no longer painful, all is OK. It can take months for nodes to return to normal, and some enlargement may persist forever. HIV doesn't causes node enlargement in just one area of the body -- usually several, like both sides of neck, armpits, groin, etc. But still a good idea to be checked; HIV and HSV2 sometimes are transmitted together.
