A member asked:

Is it possible that betadine could be used internally to disinfect rectal or urethral chlamydia? studies show betadine wipes out c. trachomatis 100%

No way, won't work: Betadine kills or inhibits many bacteria on the skin and often helps prevent infection in certain situations, e.g. surgery. But it does not cure any infection and would not help chlamydia in the urethra, rectum, or anywhere else. If you have chlamydia or maybe exposed, see a doctor or clinic for proper medical evaluation, testing, and treatment. There are no short cuts!
