No: The vagina is the birth canal. It is a short tunnel of several cm. with the top impinged by the mouth of the womb or cervix. On digital exam one easily palpates the entire canal as well as the cervix On doing a Pap one visualizes the cervix and then gently scrapes the periphery of the cervix to collect cells which are placed into solution and later sampled or smeared on a slide for exam.
