You will need to: have an order for the lab test and a health care professional will need to interpret the result. You can go straight to the lab but they won't take your blood without an order to do so. Your doctor should be able to order the test for you over the phone but you would be best managed by seeing him/her afterwards to discuss the results.

I have about ALL hypo thyroid symptoms. TSH is at 2.41. My body temperature is always low as well. Everyone whos seen my labs have said they felt like crap until their tsh was at 1.0 or below! I want a doctor to HELP, but they tell me its "in range"?
Does a TSH value of 9.7 considered high? Does it indicate over or under active thyroid issue? I will probably have to go back to doc. I was just tested and was sick at time of the labs. Im not sure if that has any relation.
