Ask doctor: Candida auris is a concern primarily for blood infections (sepsis) in hospitalized patients, usually in people with complex problems like cancer, chemotherapy, etc. If your friend is in the hospital and has undiagnosed fever, or is being treated for sepsis and not responding, it's something s/he should discuss with his or her doctors. Otherwise this probably is nothing to worry about.
