A member asked:

I have a cystic structure in my uterus, what could be the reason for it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cysts in Uterus: A condition called "adenomyosis" can cause cystic changes in the uterine lining and smooth muscle, and is basically a cause for excess bleeding and cramping with one's periods. It resembles endometriosis in that it is caused by invasion of the uterine muscle by endometrial tissue, and is a frequent cause for hysterectomy. See your gyn provider for advice and treatment.
