Uncommon, but: anaphylaxis can still happen without hives or swollen soft tissues, can manifest as severe shortness of breath, blocked upper airway, severe hypotension, and other less common reactions. Chest pain is different, can be cardiac (e.g. coronary spasm) or esophageal spasm, its relation to eating cod can be just coincidental, and you need to make sure it isn't a cardiac problem first, good luck
