Xulane patch: Xulane patch for birth control provides the same two hormones that are in the oral bcp's. Taking them without a "break week" will occasionally create an irregular lining in the uterus, which will produce bleeding. Stop the patch for seven days, and resume, and the bleeding should also stop. Take occasional breaks every few months to make the pattern more predictable.
