Unclear: Based on the current body of research, it is unclear whether flaxseed will significantly reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills or not. These trials are difficult to conduct because flaxseed products are not as tightly regulated as pharmaceuticals and it is difficult to gauge how much of the active ingredient you are consuming. Probably better to avoid if you are worried.
