Follow up: 2.5 kg weight loss is probably due to water loss if you are having large amounts of diarrhea. 2.5 kg is only equivalent to 2.5L of water - not very much when compared to our total body water. This can happen to some patients who have their gallbladders removed. Probably not related to underlying cancer but it's ok to see your doctor for follow up to assess your risk factors. Hope this helps
