Hi doctor, i laid down my 4 months baby and he stiffened his arms close to his chest & looked scared for a few seconds.he became very quiet & slept about 5 minutes later. the baby had just fed 175 ml of breast milk. what is the could this be?

Possibilities: Is he a full term baby? Complications? Development thus far? Feeding and eating well? Growing well? A period of stiffening followed by sleep could be a seizure. Certainly it is possible to be normal behavior for a sleepy baby. Bring him in for his four month check up with your pediatrician and go over the episode carefully in the history. Your doc will decide if any workup needs 2 be done
