A member asked:

I had surgery for ectopic pregnancy 10 days ago and one tube was removed. will i have regular ovulation and period in the future?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ectopic pregnancy: Normal pituitary function is not disturbed by removal of a tube with an ectopic pregnancy. B/c there is only one tube remaining, see your ob/gyn provider for an x-ray of your remaining tube, to see if obstruction exists (HSG). This will also clear obstructive tubal disease in many cases, and help prevent future ectopics. Ovulation/menses should be as normal.
