See below : Not able to make a diagnosis given limited information and inability to examine. Potential causes of discomfort involving the vulva (labia majora and minora) include trauma; inflamed or infected hair follicle (folliculitis), cyst (sebaceous or Bartholin) or skin (variety of types of dermatitis); vaginitis; and chronic pain syndrome (vulvodynia). If persists or worsens, recommend see a gynecologist
