Usually no: I think the failure rate is quoted at 1 in 1000 but i suspect it is much less frequent than that. I have never seen someone get pregnant that has had a tubal ligation.

Unlikely: It is true that you can still get pregnant after your tubes done. But having tubes done is one of the most effective birth control. The hysteroscopic essure procedure has a failure rate of only 0.3%.
