A member asked:

Does zoloft change what you say/remove filters? if you wouldn't make a comment before you were on zoloft, would you make it now bc of the confidence?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Adverse Effects: I have not had patients report this side effect, nor have I read of this type of adverse effect. If anything, patients have reported more clarity in their thinking, which would ideally promote more thoughtful conversation. If you are experiencing less of a verbal filter, I would highly recommend exploring this in therapy. Perhaps the underlying reason(s) will be revealed there.
