Implantation/bldg: Some light spotting can occur from implantation of the fertilized egg, but not usually for "10-12 days" prior to a period. If pregnancy is possible, get a serum HCG test, and get an appointment with your ob/gyn provider if the test is positive, b/c ectopic pregnancies should be considered with this kind of history.
