Probably not: The most likely cause was injection of the medication inadvertently into the blood vessels directly. Epinephrine is a potent vasoconstrictor and can cause dramatic elevations of blood pressure when injected into the vascular system. It is often used during cardiac arrest intra cardiac for just that reason.
