Feed more breastmilk: If a normal 5 month-old baby is hungry soon after breastfeeding, Mom can breastfeed again, so that her milk supply will increase to match the baby's needs. If Mom's milk doesn't increase, she can use formula. Solid foods are started at 6 months, but if Mom really wants to try solids sooner, baby cereals can be tried at 5 months. If the baby eats cereal fine and poops don't harden, he should be ok.
