So, check a test: Take a pregnancy test. They're cheap and easy. If it's positive, congratulations & call your OB if bleeding persists or if any pain is involved. If it's negative, use birth control unless you desire pregnancy; then i recommend a healthy diet and folic acid. Most offices will provide a free test if you need one...Or even use "dollar store" tests, they're surprisingly accurate and cheap...$1.00.
