A member asked:

I have macular edema. i got an injection a month ago. i was better for a week. now i am not ok. can i use eye drops to cure macular edema?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No eye drops: Macular edema is due to leakage of blood vessels surrounding the central retina - the macula. No current eye drops can affect this although extensive laboratory research is being done to develop such an eyedrop. You need to return to your retina surgeon to have the edema re-evaluated and further injection be done if required.
