Cramps: If you have a strong urge to have a bowel movement and can't, you must work from below by inserting a glycerin rectal suppository or dulcolax suppository. If these are ineffective, administer a fleets enema. If you're still not able to have a bm or if you're experiencing severe abdominal discomfort, distended abdomen or vomiting, go to the hospital emergency room where you may need disimpaction.
