Can see Dr. again: With modern medications, a patient should be able to relieve the pain through working with her urologist, nephrologist, and pain management doctor. Doctors may want to re-scan the kidney if there is concern about tears in the kidney leaking blood and forming a hematoma (trapped blood), or leaking urine and forming a urinoma (trapped urine). Not much to do at home without seeing the doctor.
