Tightening: How long ago was Dental appointment? Check in with your Dentist and report symptoms. If longer than 24 hours probably unrelated. If your throat problem worsens, seek evaluation at ER. Airway constriction can be life threatening.

Tight throat: Did your dentist give you any medication? If so, it can be an allergic response to it. If your symptoms worsen, go to the ER ASAP. If not, call your dentist about it before contacting your PCP. You may feel some meds to treat the reaction. Do this ASAP.
