A member asked:

Can migraines be related to your menstrual cycle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Migraines can be associated with fluctuations in hormone. On a calendar, mark the first day of one's menstrual cycle. Mark down the days one has a headache. Over the ensuing months see if there is a pattern. If there is, then what one has is probably migraines associated w/ fluctuations in hormone. Treat w/ advil, excedrin, meds such as Imitrex (sumatriptan) or maxalt, or herbal supp. Such as migravent.
